Michael Jackson's Kids Handprints Grauman's Chinese Theater - H 2012
Getty ImagesIt has been more than two and a half years since Michael Jackson died, but his legacy continues to live on.
Jackson’s three children, Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket, were on hand Thursday to immortalize the late pop singer’s glove and shoe prints in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Reuters reports.
More than 100 fans of Jackson turned up for the ceremony, including teen singer Justin Bieber and Jackson family members.

“I think for him as well, this right here is his lifetime achievement award,” said 14-year-old Prince Michael. “This is what he strived to get and this is what we are giving him now today.”
During the ceremony, Paris took her father’s silver sequined glove and wrote his name in the cement, adding a heart. Her brothers immortalized their father’s shoe and the three of them put their own handprints as well.
The event also featured tributes and musical performances from Jackson’s brothers Tito and Jackie, and mother Katherine, music producer Quincy Jones, Smokey Robinson, Bieber and Chris Tucker. Several of the accounts included personal experiences and memories of the late singer.

Jackson’s glove and shoe prints will be alongside Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe and Sidney Poitier.
Jackson died at 50 from a drug overdose in 2009. Late last year, Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
Next week, Glee airs its Jackson tribute episode and Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour recently opened in Los Angeles.
