First lady Michelle Obama is a woman who knows how to travel in style. And when it comes to traveling outside the U.S., FLOTUS does her part to pay homage to whichever country is hosting her stay. Case in point: During her trip to Japan earlier this year, Obama rocked a periwinkle gown by Japanese designer Tadashi Shoji.
As for her most recent venture across the pond with daughters Sasha and Malia, the first lady rocked dresses by three all-star British designers. During her two-day stay, she met with Prince Harry at Kensington Palace to discuss her Let Girls Learn initiative and gave a speech about the cause at a girls’ school.
Obama arrived at London Stansted Airport Monday wearing a yellow and blue-lace dress by Preen by Thornton Bregazzi (pictured above) and matching powder blue teardrop earrings — quite a few steps up from the typical sweats normally seen at airports. We’re guessing Air Force One comes with an onboard steamer.
For her speaking engagement at the Mulberry School for Girls, Obama showed off her toned arms in a cap-sleeve paisley-printed Mary Katrantzou dress, proving that her workout routine definitely is paying off.
On her last day in London, FLOTUS rocked a black Christopher Kane dress embroidered with bright flowers paired with elegant black Jimmy Choo “Mei” pumps while meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife, Samantha.
