She may have kept her publicist waiting 45 minutes for her arrival and only stayed half an hour at the party she was meant to co-host with W Magazine editor Stefano Tonchi, but Miley Cyrus (along with boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger) made quite an entrance Friday night to the guest-packed “W presents Shooting Stars” exhibit opening at the old May Co. building in L.A.
Guests at the Hugo Boss-sponsored affair included Boss Women creative head Jason Wu, Pucci creative director Peter Dundas (who hit up W’s other glittery party at the Chateau Marmont on Thursday night), Rachel Zoe, Joe Zee, Hailee Steinfeld and jewelry designer Loree Rodkin, who packed into a small gallery space to view blown up notable covers and photo spreads from the pages of W. The party was so crowded that the door was held pending Cyrus’ arrival. And once she and her model beau arrived, the musician posed in front of her own W cover wearing a stunning almost futuristic sharp angular shiny white Balmain jumpsuit — which brand creative director Olivier Rousteing bragged about via Instagram later that night.
The photographic exhibit, which features the work of Mario Testino, Emma Summerton and Cyrus shutterbugs Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, is open to the public through Feb. 22. Though sadly, guests won’t get to enjoy quite the same flashbulb explosion, crowd surf and cranberry-infused cocktail program. But the pictures sure are pretty.
W presents Shooting Stars, 6067 Wilshire Blvd., L.A. Now through Feb. 22.
