During the carpet, the 22-year-old — who was styled by Simone Harouche — stepped out in a custom Versace silver harness-like top and bedazzling skirt that sort of covered below, although the outfit still left very little to the imagination. She paired her futuristic look with thigh-high silver boots, shimmery hair accessories and blonde dreadlocks.
The show kicked off with Cyrus sliding on to the stage in a plunging sequined jumpsuit by The Blonds, Sophia Webster platforms and colorful floral bolero.
Not long after, the host changed into a white cut-out outfit with pom-pom details that strategically covered her nipples and down below. She paired the custom Versace look with white patent boots.
Then, she switched it up with a crop top in the shape of eyes and a red skirt that looked like lips. She paired the playful outfit with an orange Courreges visor for good measure (the lighting on stage gets bright, OK?).
Her next outfit, which was just as exposing as her previous ones, was a vinyl dress by Mamadoux, which she paired with Versace white patent boots and Courreges white sunglasses.
Afterward the pop star swapped out her see-through ensemble for — surprise! — another revealing, belly-baring look. Cyrus wore a custom Versace Medusa pink bra and metallic pink tuxedo pants, which she made sure to match with a rosy ponytail.
And at one point during the night, Cyrus covered up in a custom Prada tinsel jacket — she did say it felt like “it’s Christmas in August” on the carpet, after all. But, she didn’t keep it on for long because soon after, she took off the shiny outwear to show off her bodysuit.
She then donned a rainbow board dress and platform heels, both by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
And then she appeared as a walking disco ball with a full-mirror look designed by Prada, with the headpiece and shoes also created by the Italian fashion house.
Cyrus closed out the award show with a performance filled with pelvis thrusting and singing about smoking weed (naturally) in a colorful one-legged unitard custom designed by BCALLA.
