Not unlike the look in her “Younger Now” music video, Miley Cyrus went rockabilly for her VMAs performance.
The singer hit the stage in a silky magenta button-down and high-waisted shorts with a bedazzled belt, designed by L.A.-based August Getty, to perform her new pop-meets-country single.
Cyrus invited both the old and young to join her during her performance, not unlike what she did in the Diamond Martel-directed clip. Roberta Haze, who was apparently cast with the help of Advanced Style‘s elder chic style expert Ari Seth Cohen, was one of cool older women to rock it on stage.
The last time Miley Cyrus hit the stage at the VMAs was in 2015, when she performed her then-new single, “Dooo It,” in a colorful one-legged unitard custom designed by New York City-based BCALLA.
Leave it to Cyrus to come in like a wrecking ball.
