Two of the biggest names in international television will kick off this year’s MIPCOM television conference.
Jim Packer, President of Worldwide Television and Digital Distribution at Lionsgate will sit down for a fireside chat with Hulu CEO Mike Hopkins on Oct.5, the first day of the 2015 MIPCOM event.
The conversation is expected to cover Hulu’s rapid growth in the U.S. as well as the changing global distribution landscape and the evolution of TV content.
Before taking over at Hulu, Hopkins was president of distribution at Fox Networks, where he helped develop many of the industry’s leading digital video products, including Fox Sports Go and FOX Now.
At Lionsgate, Packer has spearheaded many of the studio’s digital initiatives, including the global rollout of streaming platforms such as Lions Gate Entertainment World, a cooperation with China’s Alibaba Group.
MIPCOM 2015 runs from Oct. 5-8 in Cannes.
