Netflix has inked its first major multiterritory network deal for continental Europe, signing with CBS Studios International to take exclusive first-window rights to a slate of TV series from CBS and Showtime.
The deal will see Netflix take series including Elementary, Dexter, Under the Dome, Penny Dreadful and Ray Donovan in the six new European territories it launched in last month: Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as in the Netherlands, where Netflix has been active since 2013.
