German production group Tandem has again teamed up with best-selling U.K. author Ken Follett.
Tandem has acquired the rights to Follett’s spy thriller Code to Zero and will adapt the novel as a limited drama series.
Follett has a long history of collaboration with Tandem. The Munich-based group successfully adapted the author’s medieval epics The Pillars of the Earth and World Without End as limited series.
Code to Zero opens with a man who wakes up in a railway station, his mind blank. Slowly he begins to piece together his past, uncovering a vast conspiracy linked to the battle between the U.S. and China for space supremacy.
“I am delighted that Tandem Productions will be making a television series of Code to Zero,” said Follett in a statement. “We have had a long and successful relationship, and I am looking forward to them bringing my book to a new audience in this exciting way.”
