The Discovery Network in Asia has snapped up Deep Fried Masters from L.A.-based GRB, while stations in Germany and in Holland have clenched deals for a variety of the nonfiction specialist’s crime series.
Among the deals: RTL in the Netherlands has forked out for Pregnant and Dating, FBI: Criminal Pursuit and Cellblock:6, while Pro Sieben in Germany has been lured by Wicked Attraction. UKTV has acquired rights to one of the company’s natural disaster titles, Hurricane Hunters, for both Britain and Ireland.
No prices were available for the just-closed transactions.
“Crime programming as well as food competition shows are still in high demand,” GRB president-CEO Gary R. Benz said Saturday in Cannes. He added that his 20-year-old company tries to focus on “character-driven programs that deliver high ratings around the globe.”
