LONDON — U.K. and U.S. sales, finance and production banner Content Media Corporation has sealed a first-look deal with transatlantic drama and comedy banner Caryn Mandabach Productions, whose output includes Nurse Jackie.
The deal gives Content international distribution rights for all fresh programming originated by CMP, the producers of returning BBC 2 drama Peaky Blinders and the Showtime show Jackie, which airs on satellite channel Sky Atlantic in the U.K.
CMP executive Jamie Glazebrook in the U.K. will move to Content’s London offices, while CMP’s U.S. execs Michael Besman and Tracy Ryerson will move to Content’s Santa Monica base.

CMP joins other companies on the Content Media sales roster, such as Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Productions in New York, Preferred Film & Television, Edyson Entertainment and Collins Avenue in Los Angeles, Aito Media in Helsinki, and Small World Format Television and Spirit Digital Media in London.
Caryn Mandabach described Content as “modern, smart and diverse.”
Said Mandabach: “As the world of filmed entertainment is rapidly changing, I can’t imagine a better group of people with whom I’d rather be associated.”
Content CEO John Schmidt said: “We are delighted to see this significant deal come to fruition, and we are confident it will generate great success on the worldwide stage for both companies. We have aligned our companies so that Caryn can benefit from our perspectives on the worldwide market and its trends and we can benefit from her development, deep network relationships and flow of premium product.”
