Swedish newcomer Rebecca Ferguson will star opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 5, a source confirms to The Hollywood Reporter.
Chris McQuarrie will direct the fifth installment in the action franchise, which sees Cruise reprising his role as Ethan Hunt. Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg also are reprising their roles, and Alec Baldwin is circling a role in the action franchise.

Tom Cruise Productions, Paramount and J.J. Abrams‘ Bad Robot are producing the movie, while David Ellison‘s Skydance is co-producing. Paramount has slated it for release Dec. 25, 2015.
Ferguson, who was raised in Sweden and has worked mostly in the U.K., received a Golden Globe nomination for her role on BBC’s The White Queen. She’ll next be seen in Dwayne Johnson-starrer Hercules. She’s repped by Actors in Scandinavia and Tavistock Management.
