The Amazon show beat out fellow nominees Casual (Hulu), Orange Is the New Black (Netflix), Silicon Valley (HBO), Transparent (Amazon) and Veep (HBO).
This is the first win for the freshman series, which went up against returning nominees Orange Is the New Black, Silicon Valley and last year’s winner, Transparent.
For the first time in Globes history, streaming services dominated cable and broadcast in overall nominations, with Netflix dethroning HBO for the most mentions. NBC, which is hosting the show, earned zero.
