The MTV Video Music Awards kicked off Sunday, Aug. 25, at 9 p.m. ET, broadcasting live from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the nominations with six apiece, while other artists including Bruno Mars, Robin Thicke and Taylor Swift will vie for the night’s top honor.
