The Dress: A dark embellished Herve Leger number with a plunging neckline, styled with Lorraine Schwartz earrings and an Ofira ring.
The Wearer: Seven-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift, who took home a Moon Man for Best Female Video for “I Knew You Were Trouble.” The VMA winner also gave a nod to the person behind the inspiration for her song saying, “I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these.” (Hint: her ex, One Direction’s Harry Styles).

The Event: The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday. The annual show saw performances from Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Drake, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake with ‘N Sync.
Why We Dig: The country singer, who recently performed at four sold-out shows at Staples Center in L.A., is showing the world that she’s growing up–and doing so with class. With a classic wavy bob and her signature red lipstick, Swift looked like she stepped straight out of the 1940s — fitting for the nostalgic-filled evening (‘N Sync reunion, anyone?). While Swift’s killer vixen look may have been the envy on the red carpet, we can safely assume Styles was eating his heart out.
