“You may call me Mrs. Grey.”
Basking in marital bliss, Grey and Steele are seen adapting to their new union, completely in love and maintaining their erotic tendencies. Whether waking and referring to one another as husband and wife or jetting off to an international getaway, Steele is happily overwhelmed.
“I just can’t believe this is my life,” Johnson’s Steele says as she and her business mogul husband embark on varied romantic adventures.
Apart from a new last name, Steele is also beginning a new role as the fiction editor of a Seattle publishing firm, the one she worked for as an assistant in the previous Darker film. Settling into a different life with a new home, all is well with the powerhouse couple, until dangerous forces emerge.
In the trailer, Grey notices they’re being chased by a suspicious car, later learning it’s driven by none other than Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson), Steele’s previous editor boss, whom Grey fired.
With Hyde back for vengeance and the return of Grey’s former lover Elena Lincoln (Kim Basinger), Grey and Steele now must fight the danger threatening them and their marriage.
Fifty Shades Freed is directed by James Foley and adapted by Niall Leonard (Freed author E.L. James’s husband). The final installment is set for release on Valentine’s Day 2018.
