Over the past two months, there have been quite a few instances of police clashing with protesters. At times, the police have used mace and batons to break up the demonstrations. Hundreds have been arrested in New York and throughout the country.

Celebrities have visited the protests to express their support, including Mark Ruffalo, Susan Sarandon, Michael Moore and Russell Simmons.
