AP ImagesJennifer Hudson has been added to the growing list of this year’s Oscar performers, announced the Academy on Tuesday.
“We’re creating several musical sequences for the Oscars, and we couldn’t be happier that our friend, Jennifer Hudson, will be performing in one of them,” read a statement from show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
The other, already-announced musical sequences include performances by Anna Kendrick, Jack Black, Rita Ora and Common along with John Legend.
In addition, Frozen‘s “Let It Go” songwriters, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, are writing a musical sequence for Oscars host Neil Patrick Harris.
The Academy Awards will be held on Feb. 22 at the Dolby Theatre.
