Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is recovering from hernia surgery.
“Surgery a success! Dr repaired 3 hernial tears (fun pain). Superman is on the mend.. #WeFallWeRise,” the 40-year-old actor-wrestler tweeted Tuesday with a photo of himself in a hospital bed, wearing a Superman T-shirt and hospital cap while flexing his muscles.

Johnson missed the premiere of his upcoming movie, Pain & Gain, in Los Angeles on Monday, as a result of the surgery. He is now recovering at home.
On Sunday, he shared with his 4.5 million Twitter followers that he would be having the operation.
“Saw my Dr who had to push my intestines back thru the tear in my abdomen,” he wrote. “Kinda romantic. Surgery is next week. #BringItOn.”
Earlier this month, he tweeted about the April 7 incident during WrestleMania 26 outside Phoenix — where he fought John Cena to defend his championship title — that caused the hernia.

Pain & Gain, which also stars Mark Wahlberg, opens Friday. Johnson also is in the upcoming Fast & Furious 6, which hits theaters May 24, and recently starred in G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
