Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared their official engagement portraits with the world on Thursday.
The two photos, released by Kensington Palace, were taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski earlier in the week at Frogmore House in Windsor.
Lubomirski, a fashion photographer, has captured the likes of Angelina Jolie, Beyonce, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow and Lupita Nyongo.
He thanked the royal couple for the gig when sharing one of the portraits on his Instagram. “Not only was it an incredible honour,” he wrote, “but also an immense privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for each other. I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took.”
He also shared a third candid photo from the shoot, something the couple decided to release after the outpouring on Thursday.
“The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives. As a way to say thank you, they have decided to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you,” read an explanation from Kensington Palace about the third shot.
The pair have set a wedding date, May 19, 2018, and will say “I do” at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
