It’s been the summer of quick engagements, and Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are reportedly joining the bandwagon.
However, Chopra and Jonas’ relationship has been the opposite of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s — super secret.
While Grande has been flashing her engagement ring at Wango Tango and Disneyland all summer, Chopra (Quantico) has opted to keep her ring hidden, even removing it and putting it into her pocket before stepping into view of the cameras in India. Talking about Chopra was off-limits when The Hollywood Reporter interviewed Jonas earlier this month.
But on Tuesday, her friend Raveena Tandon, an actress and model, seemed to officially confirm Chopra’s engagement to Jonas on her Instagram. Tandon posted a picture of Chopra wearing her engagement ring, which appears to be a cushion-cut diamond from Tiffany and Co., as People reported that Jonas shut down a Tiffany store to choose the bling in July. The pair reportedly dated for two months before he popped the question while feting her birthday in London.
THR has reached out to Jonas and Chopra’s reps for confirmation on their engagement.

Gemologist and diamond expert Grant Mobley says Chopra’s ring is about five carats: “It is a timeless design and features a cushion-cut diamond set in platinum with what looks like small baguette diamonds on the sides.” Given that it is said to be from Tiffany, Mobley says the quality of these diamonds is among the best found in nature, and the diamonds were ethically sourced.
“A ring of this size and quality would cost around $300,000. The classic style and design of this ring is perfect for Priyanka,” adds Mobley, trade lead of the Diamond Producers Association.
But how does it stack up against the other infamous rocks of the summer? “The first to kick off the summer of quick engagements,” Mobley tells THR, Grande’s ring looks to be about three carats. Her pear-shaped diamond is surrounded by a halo of diamonds, purchased from Mr. Flawless. Mobley estimates that it is worth about $100,000 and adds it, too, is high quality and ethically sourced.
This summer also saw the engagement of Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin; in comparison, Baldwin’s oval-shaped solitaire diamond ring is about eight carats. Mobley tells THR it is the most valuable of the three rings, with an estimated cost of $600,000. “It comes from New York-based jeweler Solow & Company so, again, it is of the highest quality and ethically sourced. Without any other diamonds surrounding it, the main diamond really does all the talking.”
Jonas, 25, and Chopra, 36, have kept quiet on their fast-paced romance, but they did appear together at the Met Gala, where Chopra donned a Ralph Lauren trench coat gown in New York. And she was recently spotted jamming along to Jonas’ music at his Singapore concert.
Congratulations to the couple!
