Scott Rudin is producing the movie, which already has Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone on board to star and is eyeing a September start.
STORY: Rachel McAdams to Star in Working Title’s ‘About Time’
The premise sounds pretty loopy for a romantic comedy: A defense contractor (Cooper) who is overseeing a weapons satellite launch from Hawaii teams up with (and falls for) an Air Force pilot (Stone) to scuttle the launch. Mystical island forces and a talking computer also play a part.
McAdams will play Cooper’s ex-girlfriend.
The actress next stars in About Time, a romantic time-travel comedy from one of the masters of the romantic-comedy genre, Richard Curtis (Love Actually). The movie opens Nov. 8.
She is repped by UTA and Magnolia Entertainment.
