Neiman Marcus and Target have joined to feature 24 celebrated designers, including Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam and Oscar de la Renta. Each designer will create up to three products each, totaling an affordable 50-piece holiday collection of apparel, home décor, sporting goods, gadgets and pet accessories. Both chains and websites will offer the full collections at identical prices (from $7.99 to $499.99), beginning Dec. 1.

USA Olympians will again be outfitted in Ralph Lauren at the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, as the designer debuted the official team uniforms earlier Tuesday. Topped with embroidered cotton twill berets, men will don double-breasted blue blazers, along with white trousers and red, white and blue neckties. Women will wear single-breasted blazers and the berets, with patriotic striped scarves and either white skirts or dresses — all available now at RalphLauren.com.

UK-based Lazy Oaf will release a capsule collection of Batman-licensed fashion this week, just in time for The Dark Knight Rises premiere. The collection loudly channels the superhero’s pop-art comic roots by printing the black and yellow silhouette on backpacks, button-up shirts, and more pieces for both men and women. Lazy Oaf x Batman goes on sale in stores and online this Friday, July 13.
MAC Cosmetics kicks off Comic-Con 2012 by announcing a new licensed collection with Archie Comics. Entitled “MAC Archie’s Girls,” the products will emulate the looks of opposing characters, Betty and Veronica (as previously done with Miss Piggy, Wonder Woman and Disney villains). To tease the collection’s Spring 2013 release, MAC will present the looks this Wednesday and Thursday at the San Diego Gaslamp location. Archie Comics artist Dan Parent will also illustrate custom caricatures for fans.
