The Hollywood Reporter and its sister publication Billboard said Thursday that singer-songwriter-composer Randy Newman will make a rare appearance during a keynote Q&A at the 2013 Billboard & The Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Music Conference.
He will be interviewed by his son Amos Newman, head of music for visual media at William Morris Endeavor, on Oct. 29 at the W Hotel in Hollywood. The Newmans will discuss music and film, offering insights into Randy Newman’s career and what the future holds for him.
In addition to his solo recordings and regular international tours, Newman has scored and composed for dozens of films including Ragtime, The Natural, Seabiscuit, Awakenings and several Disney-Pixar hits, including the Toy Story trilogy, Monsters, Inc. and Cars.

I look forward to a unique dialogue.”
