Upstart management and brand development firm Range Media Partners is expanding into digital talent representation under the leadership of Facebook’s Kai Gayoso.
Formerly a strategic partner manager for emerging talent at Facebook, Gayoso has joined Range as a partner, where he will lead representation of digital management and also work with clients across the firm to develop individualized digital strategies.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kai to theRange Media team,” says co-founding partner Dave Bugliari. “His knowledge of the digital space is unparalleled, and he brings an area of expertise to our clients that will help them navigate a complex social media world. He will also lead Range in representing some of the industry’s most innovative digital talent. His reputation precedes him as a forward-thinking strategist with a deep understanding of the multimedia landscape.”
Gayoso, a University of Notre Dame graduate who started his career in the UTA mailroom, has spent the last two-and-a-half years at Facebook, where he worked helped a roster of such young stars as David Dobrik and MrBeast track their performance and growth on the platform. During his time at the social networking giant, he helped with the go-to-market strategy and launch of creator-focused products including the introduction of in-stream ads and fan subscriptions. He also produced the Speak Up Series, which hosted by Asante Blackk, Ethan Herisse and Reed Shannon and focused on conversations about race and social justice.
Prior to joining Facebook Gayoso worked at Scale Management and as a digital strategist at ID Public Relations.
Gayoso joins Range less than two months since several top agents left their posts and CAA, WME and UTA left their posts to start the firm, which will focus on helping A-list stars build brands. In addition to Bugliari, Range’s founding partners are Mackenzie Condon Roussos, Rich Cook, Michael Cooper, Susie Fox, Sandra Kang, Rachel Kropa, Chelsea McKinnies, Peter Micelli, Mick Sullivan, Byron Wetzel, Jack Whigham and Matt Graham.
