Restaurant news site Eater LA reports that Bravo star Lisa Vanderpump and her husband and hospitality business partner, Ken Todd, have taken control of a prime West Hollywood commercial property, where they will soon open a new concept, P.U.M.P. Lounge. The site, along West Hollywood’s famous boys’ town nightlife strip and just a few steps from neighborhood gay staples Here and The Abbey, is at the southeast corner of Robertson and Santa Monica boulevards, a short stroll north of the couple’s SUR restaurant and lounge. (They also own Villa Blanca in Beverly Hills.)
Vanderpump and Todd spent decades owning and operating restaurants and nightclubs in London before settling in Beverly Hills eight years ago. Their more well-known London venues have included Mai Tai and Lupo. “It’s easier in London because of the foot traffic,” she told THR in late 2011. “You just create a beautiful space and people will see it and stop in.”
Vanderpump, who’s competing on Dancing with the Stars, is a centerpiece on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (its own season’s final reunion episode airs tonight), as well as a spin-off series, Vanderpump Rules, in which she’s portrayed as mother hen to the young employees at SUR. Todd, to whom she’s been married for 30 years, is featured frequently on both Bravo shows.
