Rupert Murdoch rang in the New Year with an unexpected digital adventure: joining Twitter. While he has quickly racked up followers — close to 100,000 at press time — he’s following only seven, including Twitter founder Jack Dorsey. Missing from that list is @Wendi_Deng, who was briefly — and incorrectly — verified by the social-media service as the News Corp. CEO’s wife despite questionable tweets to boldface names including Kim Kardashian and Ricky Gervais. Twitter apologized Jan. 3 for the gaffe.
