Rebecca Minkoff is heading to the West Coast. That is, the designer is opening her first L.A. flagship — her largest store yet — on 8335 Melrose Ave. on Aug. 27.
The 4,600-square-foot space will include a dedicated athleisure space and the first Uri Minkoff storefront.

“I feel so incredibly grateful and excited to open yet another store in California; a place near and dear to our hearts and our home state,” said Minkoff — who has fans in Zosia Mamet, Anna Kendrick and Victoria Justice — in a statement (the other L.A. store is located on 4661 Hollywood Blvd.). “We have really been focusing on expanding our brick-and-mortar stores this year and this store, in particular, represents the millennial woman and her approach to shopping — it was designed to personally identify with our customer.”
The flagship will share similar features with the New York and San Francisco locations, including the dressing rooms’ touch-screen mirrors that provide sizing and styling information. Additionally, the Melrose location will feature a 750-square-foot space within the store called Minkoff Projects, which will showcase revolving art, music and technology.

“We have had the advantage of having participated, with great foresight, in the fashion and tech dialogue from the very beginning, which gave us great knowledge and access to partnerships that made this dream store into a reality,” said CEO and co-founder Uri Minkoff.
As for the Uri Minkoff brand, previously known as Ben Minkoff, it will debut its new shoe line, as well as its collection of leather goods, bags and accessories, with its own section in the flagship.
In addition to the L.A. space, Minkoff will be opening a Chicago location in late November, as well as stores in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong later this year.
