Reese Witherspoon has landed a new role with Elizabeth Arden.
The Academy Award-winning actress has been named the beauty brand’s “storyteller-in-chief.” In her new role, she’ll help shape the brand’s narrative for advertising campaigns and marketing programs.
“One of the first things that drew me to the brand was its rich heritage and history of supporting women,” Witherspoon said in a statement. “As one of the first female entrepreneurs, Elizabeth Arden paved the way for women like me. It’s an honor to carry on her legacy and be part of such an iconic company that is committed to serving women.”

Witherspoon and the brand, founded by the late Arden in New York in 1910, will leverage their respective platforms to share stories about women and their careers. The producer will also appear in multimedia campaigns across all media types, including digital, in-store and social media, with her first visual ad rolling out in May.
“Reese exemplifies the ideals of our founder and continues to break boundaries every day,” said Jue Wong, president of the Elizabeth Arden brand. “Like Elizabeth Arden before her, Reese does not accept the standard; she sets it, making her the perfect person to represent the brand and engage with our consumers globally.”
Witherspoon, known for championing women in the industry, founded Hello Sunshine, a cross-platform brand and consumer-facing content company dedicated to telling female-driven stories. She also launched Southern-inspired retail site Draper James in 2015.
