Reese Witherspoon is looking to finally team with Nancy Meyers for the indie Home Again.
The actress, who once was attached to star in Meyers’ The Intern before dropping out due to scheduling conflicts, is in talks to star in the film that Meyers’ daughter, Hallie Meyers-Shyer, will direct.
Written by Meyers-Shyer, the story centers on a single mother who relocates to Los Angeles and finds herself living with three younger men who become part of her unconventional family.
Erika Olde’s Black Bicycle Entertainment is financing and producing the film.
CAA, which reps Witherspoon, Meyers and Olde, is selling North American rights to the movie, which will be introduced to buyers at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival. MadRiver Pictures is handling international sales.
Home Again is set to begin shooting next month in Los Angeles.
Witherspoon has been particularly busy on the producing front, setting up a slew of projects around town including the live-action Tinker Bell at Disney and Pale Blue Dot at Fox Searchlight. She will next be seen opposite Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley in HBO’s limited series Big Little Lies, which reunites the actress with her Wild director Jean-Marc Vallee. Witherspoon is additionally repped by LBI Entertainment and attorneys Steve Warren and Gretchen Rush.
