It’s Colin Firth’s Elizabeth!
Jennifer Ehle has signed with UTA. She was previously at ICM. The British-American actress broke out with her BAFTA TV-winning performance as heroine Elizabeth Bennet in the BBC’s beloved 1995 miniseries adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, opposite Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. Ehle most recently appeared as Anastasia’s mother in Fifty Shades of Grey. Her other film credits include Zero Dark Thirty, Contagion and The King’s Speech, and she has won two Tonys, for Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing and The Coast of Utopia. She continues to be repped in the U.K. by Sally Long-Innes at Independent.
They’ve got a Posey in their pockets
Parker Posey has switched up her U.S. representation, replacing CAA and Untitled with Gersh and Authentic. She recently finished shooting Woody Allen’s Irrational Man, starring Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix, and can currently be seen reprising her Fay Grim character in Ned Rifle, the conclusion to Hal Hartley’s Henry Fool trilogy. Posey also is a frequent Christopher Guest collaborator (For Your Consideration,Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, Waiting for Guffman) and starred in cult indies The Anniversary Party, The House of Yes and Party Girl.
Adding a legend
Comedienne, actress, director and Oscar-nominated screenwriter Elaine May has signed with ICM Partners. May, now 82, began her showbiz career partnering with the late Mike Nichols to form comedy duo Nichols and May. She then turned to screenwriting, picking up Academy Award nominations for Heaven Can Wait in 1978 and then for Primary Colors exactly two decades later. In 1994, the American Comedy Awards recognized her with a lifetime achievement award, and in 2012, she received the National Medal of Arts.
ICM also has signed actor, stuntman and martial artist Lewis Tan. Tan was part of the SAG-nominated Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End stunt ensemble, and also performed stunts in The Hangover Part III, Olympus Has Fallen and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. His television credits include NCIS: Los Angeles, CSI: Miami and 24.
A new Platform
Jon Voight has signed with Platform PR. The outspoken Oscar winner (Coming Home) currently plays Liev Schreiber’s ex-con father in Showtime’s Ray Donovan, a performance for which he won the Golden Globe last year.
Platform also has signed genre favorite Ksenia Solo. Before her Canadian import series Lost Girl airs its final episodes on Syfy this fall, she’ll be seen this summer in the third season of BBC America and Space’s Orphan Black and, in a change of setting, as a series regular in season two of AMC’s Revolutionary War drama Turn.
