Veteran agent David Unger has found his next move. The rep is partnering with Jay Z‘s Roc Nation and music management company Three Six Zero Group to expand the latter’s practice into film, television and digital. Unger will serve as co-CEO of the new venture, called Three Six Zero Entertainment, with Three Six Zero co-founder Mark Gillespie.
Founded in 2007, Three Six Zero Group represents Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean and Deadmau5, among others. The U.K.-based company entered a worldwide partnership with Roc Nation in 2010.
Three Six Zero Entertainment will add actors, writers and directors to the company’s roster and also produce film, television and digital projects. Gillespie and co-founder Dean Wilson are already working with Jay Z, Harris, Will Smith and James Lassiter to develop an EDM-focused HBO series. The new venture will continue to identify such opportunities to work with its client roster, as well as offer financial and branding advisory services to the global entertainment and media industries.
“The authenticity of engagement with a young audience has already been well established by Three Six Zero,” Unger said in a statement. “We will now expand to meet the need for international talent in the areas of film and television.”
Unger was a veteran agent at ICM Partners before being wooed in early 2013 to help launch Resolution, which shuttered last fall.
