Urban Outfitters, the chain retailer best known for quirky poop books, hipster-friendly dorm room decor and lots of plaid, is getting in on the Comic-Con action this weekend with a San Diego event featuring actor Aaron Paul.
On Saturday, the Breaking Bad star, who has won two Emmys for his portrayal of meth cook Jesse Pinkman on the popular AMC show, will sign autographs at Urban Outfitters’ Gaslamp Quarter location. The hour-long event is designed to promote a show-sponsored sweepstakes that begins July 26, in which contestants can enter to win a $1,000 Urban Outfitters gift card and $15,000 cash — aka enough money to be a steady Pinkman patron for at least the rest of summer.
That same evening, fans mourning the end of the five-season series (which premieres it’s final eight episodes Aug. 11) can feed their habit just a few doors down at Goorin Bros. hat store, where creator and EP Vince Gilligan will greet revelers and sign goods.
At the convention the next morning, the duo will join cast members Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte and Bob Odenkirk in speaking on a panel about the show.
