Since taking the reigns as creative director of women’s haute couture at Givenchy in 2005, Riccardo Tisci has built quite the fan base. Despite their differing styles, everyone from Kim Kardashian (who walked down the aisle in a courture Givenchy creation) to Julianne Moore to Madonna have all fallen for the Italian designer’s creations. But it’s not just womenswear with which the 40-year-old has found success. Tisci’s Givenchy menswear line has also impressed, with fans including Jared Leto, who memorably rocked a lilac Givenchy tuxedo at the 2015 Oscars.

According to WWD, the success of Tisci’s menswear collections has led to the opening of a flagship store in the Marais neighborhood in Paris, which opens today, as well as future men’s stores planned to open in both New York City and Milan in the coming year. A London store is in sight for 2016.
Each room of the interior of the Paris store, which Tisci had a heavy hand in designing, features a slightly different aesthetic, influenced by one of Tisci’s inspirations. For example, the entry salon, with its “dark, polished wood and green silk walls” against the backdrop of stark white subway tiles, is the elegant execution of Tisci’s sixties and seventies Italian design-inspired vision. Said Tisci of the flagship store, “In each room, you have a different journey, but altogether when you look at it, you feel that you’re in a Givenchy world.”
