There’s no doubt Rihanna has a killer bod (just take a look at her Insta if you need further evidence), and that’s thanks in part to her badass trainer, Jamie Granger. After experiencing a killer workout with Granger ourselves on Thursday night — she had a group of editors and bloggers doing everything from planks to sit-ups to a weighted boxing-inspired routine — we can see why Riri is able to order three half-portions of pasta in one sitting.

According to the fitness guru, she does “everything from power lifting to plyometrics” with Riri.
“We do cycling, hiking, paddling — we try to mix it up,” said Granger, who’s been tapped as Puma’s new brand ambassador, of how she keeps the singer in shape. “Someone like that who’s working out almost everyday, we need to keep it fresh and exciting.”
Knowing that not everyone always has time for long workouts, Granger shared that, “big compound movements are the best for anybody and [for] burning the most calories.” Those workouts can include “squats, lunges and a lot of the plyometric moves to keep your heart rate up because sometimes we only have 20-25 minutes so it’s about constant big moments.”

While we may never be able to get Granger as our own personal trainer, she did leave us with the advice she always gives her clients.
“The one thing is diet — it helps balance your hormones, it helps give you energy and control your mood. And staying hydrated. Those are the two top things you should always do,” shared Granger, clad in head-to-toe Puma gear. “It’s balance. If you want to eat a little more, you’ve just got to work out a little harder.”
