Rob Ford’s Reality TV Show Canceled After One Episode

TORONTO – A day after being stripped of his mayoral powers, Rob Ford has lost his Canadian reality TV show.

Sun News Network on Tuesday canceled Ford Nation after its debut episode aired Monday night, according to the Globe and Mail newspaper.

The embattled mayor and his brother Doug Ford, a Toronto councilor, hosted the TV show on Sun News Network, a conservative-skewing 24/7 news channel itself faced with extinction for want of subscribers and a pending CRTC bailout.

Ford Nation drew a paltry 155,000 viewers on Sun News, which reaches into barely half of all Canadian households.

“You know what, I’m not perfect, I don’t believe anybody is perfect,” Ford told Toronto Sun columnist Joe Warmington, the first guest on the reality show.

“And if they are, I haven’t met them yet,” he added from talking points that American TV viewers will recognize from recent days when the Ford brothers have been interviewed on CNN, Fox News Channel, NBC’s Today and ABC’s Good Morning America.
