Robin Thicke and Paula Patton may have called it quits (at least for now), but the “Blurred Lines” singer isn’t giving up just yet.
At Thicke’s Sunday concert at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, the 36-year-old singer, who recently announced his separation from Patton, 38, was still wearing his wedding ring. In the middle of the concert, when he took a break to interact with the crowd, a fan yelled out to Thicke, “I love Paula!” The declaration prompted the singer to state one of his own: “I do too,” he said passionately. Following the interaction, he sang Al Green‘s “Let’s Stay Together.” (The singer sang plenty of his own material for the crowd, including “Sex Therapy,” “Love After War” and of course, “Blurred Lines.” )
STORY: Robin Thicke and Wife Paula Patton Split Up
This isn’t the first time Thicke has poured his affection out for his estranged wife in front of a crowd: Less than a week ago, during a concert in Fairfax, Va., the singer told the audience he’d written “Lost Without U” for his actress wife, before singing the hit song for the packed house. “For y’all that don’t know, me and my wife separated,” he told the crowd in Virginia candidly. “But I’m trying to get my girl back. She’s a good woman.”
The couple, who announced their separation just last month, married in 2005 and have a son, Julian Fuego, who will celebrate his fourth birthday next month. They began dating when Thicke was 16.
