The San Francisco Giants remembered Robin Williams with an emotional tribute prior to game five of the 2014 World Series.
Williams’ three children — Zak, Zelda and Cody Williams — took to the mound before the team’s home game against the Kansas City Royals on Oct. 26. Zak threw out the first pitch to Williams’ longtime pal Billy Crystal, who stood at home plate. Crystal also spoke to the crowd.

As part of the tribute, the team showed clips of Williams, an ardent Giants fan, on the Jumbotron. Williams’ children all wore jerseys with their last name on the back. A photo of one of the jerseys can be seen below.
“We are honored to be here in tribute to our father, someone who loved his hometown and especially the Giants,” Zak, Zelda and Cody said in a statement. “For all of us, it is a tremendous delight and a little surreal to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of a World Series game for our team to our dad’s best friend.”

The statement adds that the comic legend’s three kids “could not think of a better way to celebrate his memory.”
The Giants honored Robin during a regular-season game against the Chicago White Sox on Aug. 12, the day after his death. Robin lived in San Francisco while cutting his teeth on the city’s comedy scene, and he later owned several homes in the area.
