Roman Polanski (ICM) will direct a French-language adaptation of David Ives' Broadway smash "Venus in Fur." The film wil star Polanski's wife, Emmanuelle Seigner, and Louis Garrel.
Roman Polanski on Wednesday appeared at a Polish court hearing about a U.S bid to extradite him, but the court didn’t immediately reach a decision.
The U.S. request is tied to Polanski pleading guilty to unlawful sex with a minor in 1977.
Reporters weren’t allowed in the courtroom.
Sky News reported that the presiding judge said a ruling would be made at a later date as the court had to consider additional documents submitted by Polanski’s legal team related to unsuccessful extradition proceedings against Polanski from Switzerland in 2010.
Another court hearing is expected to take place in April.
As previously announced, Polanski attended the Wednesday court hearing in the historic city of Krakow with his lawyer. He has been preparing a film he plans to shoot on location there about Alfred Dreyfus, the 19th century Jewish-French military officer whose trial and conviction in 1894 on charges of treason became a political drama until he was eventually exonerated.
