There was nothing bridal about the gowns worn by starlets including Olivia Wilde and Priyanka Chopra at the Academy Awards on Sunday, though they were radiant in all white, with ultra feminine detailing.
Rooney Mara donned Givenchy Haute Couture, with a diamond-shaped abdominal cutout, open back and intricate embroidery from top to bottom. The back of her gown was just as eye-catching as the front, with a ruffle running down the center and drawing focus to her sleek knotted hairstyle, too.
Wilde’s pleated Valentino gown was an impeccable fit, likely with the help of a bit of fashion tape. Though it was relatively revealing, the actress made sure eyes stayed above her collarbone, thanks to a stunning choker and draping over her shoulders.
White was anything but basic on Isla Fisher, whose off-the-shoulder gown was embellished with metallic embroidery in shades of platinum, gold and deep gray. Giuliana Rancic’s white Georges Chakra Couture creation, too, featured embroidery on the skirt.
Like the redhead, Chopra wore bright red lipstick along with her colorless gown by Zuhair Murad. The strapless sweetheart style was festooned with rich applique details, and she wore oversized diamonds and an intricate silver metal belt.
