Rose Byrne is in negotiations to star opposite Tiffany Haddish in Limited Partners, a Paramount comedy to be directed by Miguel Arteta.
Written by Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly, the story tells of two women who create a beauty products company. When a tech company (think Amazon) makes a multimillion dollar overture, their friendship is tested.
Byrne will play the more logical of the two best friends, while Haddish’s character is a woman who can’t wait to retire to the Caribbean with her earnings.
The comedy is prepping for an October production start. Peter Principato, Itay Reiss and Joel Zadak are producing.
Byrne is one of Hollywood’s go-to actresses for comedies, appearing with Seth Rogen in the Neighbors movies and Melissa McCarthy in Spy, as well as the all-star ensemble Bridesmaids, among others. She was last seen in the surprise hit Peter Rabbit, which grossed over $350 million worldwide, and will next star opposite Mark Walhberg in Instant Family.
Byrne is repped by CAA and Australia’s RGM Artists.
