“I care about her and I hope she’s doing well. But love is a big word and I wouldn’t really use that,” said Chelsea. “I don’t miss Rosie at all. Things that have happened in the last couple of months are just something I can’t get over and just forgive her for.”
“She got upset with me because I wouldn’t talk to her about what was going on with my life and said she was getting all that stuff at work and she didn’t need to deal with it at home and just to like get out and to take my dog and ‘have a nice life,’” said Chelsea in a preview clip for her Inside Edition interview — her first interview since moving out of Rosie’s home.
The segment also features an interview with Chelsea’s birth mother, Deanna Micoley, who reunited with Chelsea when she turned 18. Chelsea lived with Micoley for six days before leaving to stay with friends.
“I’m not mentally ill,” Chelsea told Inside Edition. “I’m in a good place in my life. … Yeah I have anxiety and depression but I’m not a crazy person.”
Rosie responded to Chelsea’s comments on Twitter, posting a screenshot of an Entertainment Tonight article about the interview along with tweet calling her daughter “beautiful.”

Rosie also replied to Chelsea’s statement posted on Oct. 20, asking that she not be involved in “Rosie drama” or tagged on social media with questions or photos of her mother. Rosie posted a photo of Chelsea’s statement with the comment: “18 years ago tomorrow – i met my daughter for the first time … a plea 10 days ago …now a photo shoot #choices.”
