LONDON – Rupert Everett, Miranda Richardson and Anne Marie Duff have joined the cast of Parade’s End, a new BBC2/HBO adaptation of the novel series written by Ford Maddox Ford.
They join the previously announced cast list including Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall, who play an aristocratic couple in the twilight years of the end of the Edwardian era to the end of the First World War.
The clash of a politician with the social times and a love triangle involving a vibrant young suffragette played by Adelaide Clemens form the backbone of the story, which will see Richardson, Everett and Duff as well as Boardwalk Empirestar Stephen Graham take supporting roles.
The drama is filming in the U.K. and Belgium until December and will broadcast next year. It will mark the television return of Shakespeare In Love scribe Tom Stoppard, the playwright who has adapted the drama for television.
