Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of Fox News Channel’s parent company, 21st Century Fox, is defending Fox News’ Megyn Kelly after a series of public jabs thrown at the journalist by GOP candidate Donald Trump.
Murdoch tweeted around midnight on Saturday, “Baier, Kelly, Wallace great job Thursday. Fine journalism, no more, no less. Friend Donald has to learn this is public life.”

Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace jointly moderated the Fox News GOP debate Thursday night, which was followed by Trump publicly criticizing Kelly on Twitter and in a CNN interview with Don Lemon.
Soon after the debate, Trump tweeted early Friday morning, “Wow, @megynkelly really bombed tonight. People are going wild on twitter! Funny to watch” and “I really enjoyed the debate tonight even though the @FoxNews trio, especially @megynkelly, was not very good or professional!”

On Friday evening, Trump referred to Kelly as “overrated” and a “lightweight” in the interview with Lemon and said, “She gets out and starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions.” He continued, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her — wherever.”
