Rupert Murdoch expressed his dissatisfaction with coverage of the conflict in Gaza in a way that turned some heads.
“Why Is Jewish owned press so consistently anti- Israel in every crisis?” theNews Corp. chairman and CEO tweeted Saturday.
Murdoch, who is a strong supporter of Israel, did not specify which outlets he was referring to, though earlier in the day criticized CNN and Associated Press coverage, tweeting: “Middle East ready to boil over any day. Israel position precarious. Meanwhile watch CNN and AP bias to point of embarrassment.”

He also asked if President Obama’s “friends in Egypt” could stop the shelling of Israel.
The tweets prompted more than a few head-scratching responses from the media.
“Who is the bigger Twitter troll these days? Donald Trump or Rupert Murdoch?” asked Huffington Post UK political director Mehdi Hasan. BuzzFeed political reporter Andrew Kaczynski quipped he wanted whatever “Rupert Murdoch is smoking,” while New Yorker political reporter Ryan Lizza tweeted “wow.”
