Russell Armstrong, who died earlier this week, will have not one, but two services, E! News reports.
Armstrong, the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Taylor Armstrong, was found dead at his Los Angeles home. It was later confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the venture capitalist had committed suicide.
Because of the tension between Taylor Armstrong and his family, there was a conflict in planning his funeral, according to the report. But that all seems to have been resolved, with both sides agreeing to hold two separate services.
Russell Armstrong’s attorney Ronald Richards told E! News that the first service will take place in California. The second service will take place in Texas.
Richards said that the funeral plans were told to one of Russell Armstrong’s family members and that his mother, father or sister had yet to be contacted.
On Friday, Bravo confirmed THR‘s story that the network would re-edit the show in light of Russell Armstrong’s suicide. Network head Frances Berwick declined to say whether the show’s season opener, set for Sept. 5, would be pushed back, saying that a decision has not been made.
It seems Armstrong was not the only one feeling the pressure after appearing on Real Housewives. “I was very close to taking my own life — not just on one occasion — it’s been several times,” former Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Danielle Staub told Entertainment Tonight. “And what always saved me was the thought of my children living with that for the rest of their lives.”
