Ryan Gosling had one request for fans on his 35th birthday: Please share this video of Bernie Sanders.
Gosling tweeted out a video showing Sanders speaking about fighting racism while at a campaign rally. “For my birthday… Could you do me a solid and pass this around?” tweeted Gosling.

In the video, an American Muslim student who said she is “looking to change the world” asks Sanders about Islamophobia and the rhetoric she often hears from Republican candidates. Sanders hugs the student and brings her up to the podium with him.
“I’m Jewish,” says Sanders. “My father’s family died in concentration camps. I will do everything I can to rid this country of the ugly stain of racism, which has existed for far too many years.”
He went on to talk about what racism is and how some politicians have played different groups off of each other. “Our job is to build a nation in which we all stand together as one people.”
