Ryan Seacrest Productions has added a former Yahoo executive to its executive ranks.
The Los Angeles-based company has hired digital entertainment veteran Sibyl Goldman as its new executive VP new media. In her new role, Goldman will drive and manage all digital entertainment strategy and content initiatives for the company, reporting directly to RSP chief executive Adam Sher.
Goldman comes with 15 years of experience in the digital realm, most recently serving as VP of entertainment at Yahoo, where she oversaw all of the company’s entertainment properties. In that role, she launched Yahoo’s celebrity-focused omg! site, which now has local versions in 15 countries around the globe, and daily video news show omg! now, as well as secured exclusive premiere event live-streaming rights forThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn andHunger Games.
Prior to joining Yahoo, Goldman ran Lifetime Television’s online programming. Before that she had co-created Girls On, a site featuring pop culture commentary from a female perspective. The site was acquired by Oxygen in 1999.
The news comes as RSP continues to expand, both in its staff and its projects. Last month, the company announced it was bringing publicist Kelly Mullens Brown in-house to serve as EVP external relations, responsible for such things as communications, philanthropy and new business development. On the programming side, RSP is behind series including the Kardashian franchise, Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset and E! Married to Jonas.
