SAG Awards: Behind the Scenes With ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Hannah Murray’s Makeup Artist

As with all the awards shows so far this season, red lips shone on the carpet at Saturday’s Screen Actors Guild awards. One of the standout looks belonged to Hannah Murray, who plays Gilly on Game of Thrones. Her radiant lip color? Rouge Dior Lipstick in Trafalgar ($35), applied by celebrity makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani (who also works with Kirsten Dunst, Sandra Bullock and Miley Cyrus). She shared with us her behind-the-scenes diary of the day.

10 a.m. My day started very mellow. After breakfast, I took over my kitchen to reorganize my kit and clean my brushes, and look for reference images of what I wanted to do — with my Uggs on.

Of course, as soon as the makeup is out, my little helpers come running out to give me their opinion on what lip color I should use.

And I can’t pack it up without trying it on them.…

11:15 a.m. Then I drive to the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills to meet the beautiful Hannah.

12 p.m. After talking about what we’re going to do, I set up my makeup. When Hannah showed me a beautiful Charlie Brear, we decided it would be nice to have a pop of color on the lips.

2 p.m. When we’re done, Angie Smith dresses her and they pick some jewels.

2:15 p.m. Next her friend Emily Browning comes to pick her up. She’s her date for tonight.

2:25 p.m. John D. and I do a last touch-up on Hannah.

2:30 p.m. Off they go! And then I have to clean up this mess.
