Coming off an equally impressive performance at the Grammy Awards in January, Sam Smith on Wednesday delivered again at the 2018 Brit Awards with a simple and satisfying performance of “Too Good at Goodbyes.”
The song is a cut from the singer’s most recent release The Thrill of It All, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart when it dropped in September.
The performance came with no frills, but instead featured Smith strolling across the stage with confidence as he showed off his vocals in front of a bronzed background, accompanied by four equally well-piped backup singers.
As a previous three-time winner, Smith proved why he’s a mainstay at the awards show year after year.
He’s way too good at goodbyes and he’s also way too good at singing! @samsmithworld filling the entire arena with his vocals at The #BRITs 2018 #SamSmithBRITs
