Sam Smith’s new video for “Writing’s on the Wall” — the theme song for the new James Bond movie, Spectre — has arrived. The video’s release coincides with Global James Bond Day, the anniversary of the theatrical release of the very first Bond film, 1962’s Dr. No.
The video was directed by Luke Monaghan and filmed in Rome, in the same locations where Spectre was shot.
Footage of Smith, dressed in a classy black suit as he sings the soaring ballad, is intermixed with scenes from the movie — including a love scene between Bond (Daniel Craig) and Lucia (Monica Bellucci).
Watch the “Writing’s on the Wall” video below.
